Biography

     Adriane first picked up the drum set at age 14, but it was only at the age of 18 that she decided to take up drumming professionally. She immediately enrolled herself into the National Arts Academy (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and after only a year, she began playing the drums and classical percussion professionally at the age of 19. While at the Academy, she emerged as one of the school's most outstanding students and earned a Diploma in Music Performance (Percussion) in 2003. In 2007, she studied briefly at The Collective School of Music, Manhattan and after completing her studies, decided to base herself in New York city.

     Within a time frame which barely encompassed 12 months, Adriane had already performed at notable NYC venues such as the world re-known Blue Note Jazz Club, the Highline Ballroom and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) to name a few. She also toured throughout 2008, traveling to 30 different cities in the United States, and performed at the SXSW Festival in Ausin, TX, Mountain Stage, VA and played at the Central Park/Union Square's Summer Stage over the summer of 2008. Adriane has also played for musical theater productions, with performances at Kumble Theater, Long Island University and The LPAC. She continues to play within the NYC/Tri-State circuit and maintains an active gig schedule.
